Children are unique individuals

We work with each child individually, recognising their unique strengths and learning priorities, and fostering their potential and growth.

ENQUIRE FOR

Promoting diversity and languages is at the heart of everything we do...

Unlike most nurseries, Renaissance is a well-established chain of privately owned, family-oriented nurseries in Leeds, where languages and cultures are fully integrated into our curriculum. Children attending our settings have the opportunity to learn multiple languages and experience various cultures and religions. We deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage programme in English within a friendly and multicultural atmosphere, ensuring a rich and inclusive learning environment for all children.

We are passionate about languages.

Our staff speaks over 22 languages, including Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Dutch, Polish, Italian, French, and more.

OUR BELIEFS ABOUT CHILDREN

Children need nurturing caregivers to meet their basic needs and help them thrive. For this reason, we prioritise nurturing skills in our interactions with children, ensuring their safety and physical and mental health. We achieve this by creating a friendly, warm, consistent, and caring environment where children feel secure and develop a sense of love, respect, and trust.

Children need to develop a sense of self-esteem and competence to maximise their potential. We therefore value and respect children's thoughts and ideas, encouraging them to express themselves through our "In the Moment Planning" strategy with various play materials. We ensure children have a voice by involving them in decisions, such as selecting menu items and choosing and planning daily activities and having a voice.

Children have the essential right to play, learn, and grow in a stimulating, orderly, and organised environment where they can explore and express themselves. Therefore, we provide a rich setting that includes attractive interiors, a wide variety of learning materials and playthings, and opportunities to engage with the natural environment. Our approach to managing children's behaviour and personal interactions involves offering children choices and explaining the reasons behind rules, boundaries  and expectations. We believe that children need to learn self-respect and respect for others. Therefore, we model cooperative, considerate, and appropriate behaviour from each child, promoting British Values throughout our curriculum.

OUR PRIDE

We are passionate about what we do, and it shows. We operate in mixed-age settings and care for children from birth onwards. With over 18 years of experience in childcare, our Lead Manager takes pride in the love and care we provide to every child who joins our family. If you seek a nursery that offers a safe, friendly, and enjoyable environment for your child to thrive, along with a dedicated staff team that will care for and cherish your child as their own, look no further!

We collaborate closely to support your family, always prioritizing your child's best interests.

OUR AIMS ARE TO

Help children achieve their full potential and grow to be confident and happy in a multicultural environment as they develop a sense of community. To achieve this, we have fostered a community atmosphere within our nurseries, encouraging respectful parental input and teaching children interpersonal skills. We continuously celebrate each child's individuality while focusing on the Seven Areas of Learning and Development. Our curriculum incorporates British Values, empowering children to become confident learners and articulate speakers. Promoting good health is central to our mission. We educate children about the importance of dental hygiene, healthy eating, and physical health, offering a balanced and diverse menu along with access to outdoor learning and physical activities.

Work in partnership with parents, guiding and supporting them alongside other professionals to ensure children are safe from harm. To achieve this, we approach our partnership with parents with care and honesty. We prioritise the well-being of children by acting swiftly on concerns. We strive to make all parents feel welcomed, valued, and respected, sharing information and ideas to maintain consistency and welcoming their comments and suggestions. While we are very friendly, we maintain a professional demeanour in all our interactions. We seek advice and support to give our children the best possible start in life. We maintain strong links with other Early Years settings, schools, healthcare professionals, and the Local Authority Childcare Improvement Team, sharing information and ideas to ensure quality care and service. We are proactive in seeking help when we identify weaknesses or need guidance. We work closely with the SENIT, Health Visitors, Speech and Language Therapists, and GPs to address children's developmental concerns promptly and effectively.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

We recognise that each child is an individual, brimming with creativity and a desire to succeed. Therefore, we respect the unique needs of every child, fostering a caring and creative environment that emphasises their full development. We promote a safe, supportive, and multicultural setting where all children can learn, respect, and accept one another. Embracing the ubiquity of technology, we use it to engage children in learning. We provide immersion in different languages while promoting independence through free and adventurous play.
