Our Curiculum

 OUR CURRICULUM

We take pride in being recognised as a "Communication Friendly Setting," with over 80% of our staff equipped with the necessary qualifications and skills to meet the accreditation requirements.

We aim to prepare our children for school and for life ahead!

Recognising the importance of embracing diversity and languages in the Early Years, we have made it a priority to ensure that our settings fully reflect our British Values. We understand that when individuals do not see their values, cultures, religions, and preferences represented, they may feel excluded. To address this, we have implemented various initiatives to celebrate diversity within our settings. From the resources we provide to the staff we employ, the food we serve, and the languages and cultures we expose our children to, diversity is integrated into every aspect of our environment. By immersing children in a rich tapestry of experiences, we aim to instil in them an appreciation for differences as they mature into young adults. Our approach includes celebrating a wide array of cultural and religious events, such as Eid, Christmas, Chinese New Year, and Diwali. Additionally, we organise visits to religious establishments and incorporate teachings about the value of inclusivity and respect for all individuals, regardless of their faith, background, or origin, throughout our curriculum.

ENQUIRE FOR

WHAT WE AIM FOR OUR CHILDREN TO LEARN AND UNDERSTAND

Our Educational Program, Aims, Values, and Mission Statement collectively shape our Curriculum. They outline the key areas we wish for children to explore and how we guide their learning journey.

HOW WE DELIVER IT

We foster children's learning and development by encouraging imaginative play and embracing risk-taking. Our approach emphasises understanding right from wrong, while fostering respect and acceptance of differences. Central to our ethos is cultivating a culture of love and care within a welcoming and relaxed environment. A cornerstone of our philosophy is promoting children's overall well-being. Through our Dental Health Program, each term, children receive a complimentary toothbrush. Our diverse and nutritious menus expose children to a variety of global cuisines, encouraging exploration and understanding of different foods and their impact on health. Our commitment to promoting British Values is evident in our daily activities. From celebrating cultural festivals like Eid, Christmas, and Diwali to tailored activities reflecting children's age, interests, and learning priorities, we implement an adaptable In the Moment Planning strategy to ensure engagement and enrichment. We promote independent play by empowering children to select their preferred activities. Our toys and games are easily accessible, enabling children to take the lead in their play experiences. We actively engage children in activity planning, encouraging them to initiate their play and fostering a sense of ownership over their learning and exploration.

We provide a diverse range of toys, games, and activities to support children's holistic development in an enjoyable and informal manner. Our selection includes natural and recycled materials, fostering creativity and sustainability. All toys, equipment, and materials are carefully chosen, maintained, and age-appropriate. We encourage parents to contribute to our resources by recycling items from home, promoting environmental consciousness and community involvement.

Forest School Program

Our Forest School Program is designed to nurture children's self-esteem and self-confidence through immersive experiences in the woodland environment. Children have the opportunity to engage in outdoor play, learning valuable life skills and encountering real-life challenges. We prioritise the development of problem-solving abilities, encourage adventurous play through activities like climbing, jumping, and running, and emphasise the importance of healthy engagement with nature. Maintaining personal hygiene is a key focus both indoors and during outdoor excursions. In the woods, children participate in a variety of unstructured activities such as den building, cloud gazing, forest baking, nature walks, constructing bug hotels, and mud play, fostering their connection with the natural world.

How does it fit in?
