Children are unique individuals

We work with each child individually, recognising personal strengths and weaknesses and encouraging individual potential and growth.

ENQUIRE FOR

Promoting Diversity & Languages is at the heart of everything we do.

Unlike most Nurseries, Renaissance is a well-established chain of privately owned family-orientated nurseries in Leeds, where Languages and Cultures are fully promoted across the curriculum. Children attending our settings can learn other languages and experience other cultures and religions as we deliver the Early Years Foundation Programme in English in a friendly and multicultural atmosphere.

We care about children & languages

We speak over 22 languages: Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Dutch, Polish, Italian, French and more.

OUR BELIEFS ABOUT CHILDREN

Children need nurturing caregivers who ensure their basic needs are met for them to thrive.

Nurturing skills are used in our interactions with children as we provide for each child's safety and physical and mental health. We accomplish this by establishing a friendly, warm, consistent, and caring environment where they feel secure and can develop a sense of love, respect and trust.

Children need to develop a sense of self-esteem and competence to maximise their potential.

Children's thoughts and ideas are valued and respected. We encourage them to express their thoughts and ideas during play through our In the Moment Planning strategy using various play materials. We give children a voice. For example, we ask them what food they want on the menu. What activities do they wish to participate in during the day, and how do they want to do them?

Children have the necessary rights and need to play, learn and grow in a stimulating yet orderly and organised environment to explore and express.

We provide a rich environment, including attractive interior surroundings, a wide variety of learning materials & playthings and opportunities to explore the natural environment.

Discipline and personal interactions in our program offer children choices and explain reasons for rules and expectations. Since children need to learn self-respect and respect for others, cooperative, considerate, and appropriate behaviour is modelled for and expected from each child as we promote our British Values across our Curriculum.

OUR PRIDE

We love what we do, and it shows. We operate in mixed-age settings, and we care for children from Birth. With more than 15 years of experience in childcare, our Lead Manager takes pride in the love and care we offer every child who joins our family. If you are looking for a nursery that provides a safe, friendly and enjoyable environment for your child to flourish and a staff team that will care for and love your child as if they were their own, then look no further! We work together to help your family, considering your child's best interests.

OUR AIMS ARE TO

Help children achieve their full potential and grow to be confident and happy in a multicultural environment as they develop a sense of community. To achieve this, we have developed a community atmosphere within our nurseries and among children and parents by encouraging respectful parental input and teaching children interpersonal skills. We continuously celebrate children's individualism as we focus on the Seven Areas of Learning and Development. We promote our British Values across our curriculum and teach children to be confident learners. We listen to children's views and opinions and teach them to be confident talkers. Promoting children's good health is vital to what we wish to achieve. We, therefore, teach children about the importance of good health, including dental hygiene, healthy eating, and physical health, by providing them with a healthy balance and diverse menu and access to outdoor learning and physical activities.

Work in partnership with our parents, guide and support them and other professionals to ensure children are safe from harm. To achieve this, we care and are honest in our approach to partnership with our parents. We are quick to act on concerns as we put the children first. We make all parents feel welcomed, valued and respected. We share information and ideas on maintaining consistency and welcome comments and suggestions. Most of all, we are very friendly as we remain professional in what we do. We seek advice and support to ensure our children get a better start in life. We keep a helpful link with other Early Years settings, schools, healthcare professionals and the Local Authority Childcare Improvement Team as we share information, tips and ideas to ensure the delivery of quality care and service. We are quick to seek help where we identify weaknesses or need guidance. We work very closely with the SENIT, Health Visitors, Speech and Language Therapists and GPs to ensure that children's developmental concerns are acted upon promptly and effectively.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

We recognise that each child is an individual, creative and has a need to succeed. Therefore, we respect the individual needs of every child, foster a caring and creative environment and emphasise the full development of each child. We promote a safe, caring, supportive and multicultural environment where all the children can learn, respect and accept one another. Technology is everywhere; therefore, we dare to use it to engage children in learning. We provide immersion in different languages whilst promoting children's independence through free and risky play.
